2019 PowerPlay! Beyond School Grant Recipient
Veterans Park District was awarded a grant in the amount of $1000, from Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD), to incorporate the PowerPlay! Program into our VPD After School Care Program.
Get Licensed to Support Illinois Youth!
The sale and subsequent renewals of each plate generates $25 for the PowerPlay! Beyond School Grant Program, which funds youth programs in park and recreation agencies throughout Illinois. The goal of the Pow- erPlay! program is to increase the number of opportunities designed
to show youth the lifelong bene ts of  tness, health and nutrition. Veterans Park District supports and encourages the sale of Park District
Youth Program License Plates.

We are looking forward to the 10th Annual Fireworks Display partnered with Leyden Township on Saturday, July 6. It’s a great event that takes place at the Leyden High School’s West Campus.
Gates open at 6 PM. Should a rain date be required, only the  reworks display will go on and the gates will open at 8 PM.
Be a part of what has become an exceptional local tradition in the celebration of the birth of our wonderful country. We look forward to seeing you there!
