Upcoming Programs

New After School Programs at George A. Leoni Complex

Join us after school for Sports & More. We are offering two new exciting programs at Leoni Complex for school-aged children, ages 6-12 years old. The programs will start this September.

Session 1, 3-4:30 p.m. will give children the opportunity to learn and play soccer, baseball, flag football and kickball.

Session 2, 4:30-6 p.m. children will be supervised and in a structured environment that will include board games, crafts, Lego creating, movies, and time for homework. Snacks will be provided during both sessions.

Melrose-Veterans Park District Youth Soccer League

Calling all youth soccer teams!!! Veterans Park District is excited to continue our partnership with the Melrose Proviso Soccer League. The Melrose-Veterans Park District Youth Soccer League will begin again in late October and have two 10 weeks sessions (Oct. 25- Jan. 3 and Jan. 10 –March 14) for your team participate in.

This competitive league will be offered for six different age groups (U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, and U16) that will play every Saturday with practice times available at our George A. Leoni Complex. Every child will receive a participation medal and league branded t-shirt along with the experience of feeling like a real professional player when they compete on our state-of-the-art turf field. So come and join us for this amazing experience at our brand new facility. Space is limited and filling up fast so make sure you sign up today!

Annual Holiday Toy & Food Drive

October 1– December 12

Help provide food for the hungry. We are looking for individuals and/or corporations to help aid us in our mission to fight hunger in our surrounding communities during the holiday season. Please bring nutritious, non-perishable canned or packaged foods (no glass please) to any of the locations listed below.

A special thank you to all the families that dropped off toys for last year's drive. Please make the holidays happier and help preserve the spirit of giving. Drop off a NEW toy or game at any of the locations listed below and make a difference in someone's life this holiday season.
