Pickleball Lessons
Learn the basics of one of Americas fastest growing sports! Pickleball com- bines the many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Simple rules make it easy for beginners to pick up the game fast and get in on the fun. Our instructor will teach participants everything they need to know about the basic rules, procedures and equipment involved with this enjoyable sport.
All lessons will be taught by Mel Phillips, USPTA Certi ed Pro at Bataan Park Pickleball Courts, 1220 N 9th Ave., Melrose Park.

ADULT (Beginner/Advanced Beginner)
For players with little to no experience or limited mobility. Emphasis on injury prevention and developing a consistent dink, drive, volley, serve and return. Introduction to scoring and point play. Players with little to moderate experi- ence will also work on developing a more consistent serve, return,
and improved “kitchen” play. Point play with strategy.
Participants can pick either the Tuesday or Thursday class.

For quali ed experienced players that already have placement and control on a consistent level. Emphasis on more advanced techniques/strategies including slice, spins, 3rd shot drop, stacking and “kitchen  re ghts”. Point play with standard and rally scoring.

Pickleball Open Play at Bataan Park
Instructor supervised adult doubles open play (advanced beginner and intermediate levels only). Registration in advance is required. Weather dependent.
